still knitting but in Tempe

I guess I need to change this to Knitting in Tempe - oh well
yes I'm still in the Phoenix area - but the good news is that I'm starting a job on Monday:-)
it has been a long time coming.. had a temp job from March till September.. and now this one should be just over 3 months full time and maybe for a little while part time.. maybe I'll finally get some $$ saved to move out east to be w/Kori!

so i've been out of the "loop" for awhile

Well I'm still in QC and Kori's in Atlanta.. she's doing great she graduated from middle school and heads to high school in august... i really hope that I'm out there by then... still need to get lots of $$$ together for an apt etc.. living with Lisa .. lots of animals: 2 horses, 2 cats, 2 dogs and one pot bellied pig... and i guess 2 girls.. so i guess we either need to get another pig.. eeek or ditch the pig?! ha ha.. i don't think she'll go for that..
I'm heading to a llama / alpaca farm i think in Casa Grande and getting together with other knitters/spinners etc.
got to Atlanta in April and got to spend time with Kori but also got to be at the Stitches South premiere and met a lot of people that i could really have fun with in the future when i get there for good..
right now Kori is in Hilton Head with her friends, dad and grandmother.. and then she heads back to Atlanta Saturday and then off to Florida a little while later for a week or two in a camp with friends she made awhile ago..
OK must run.. need to get on the road for the festivities.. toodles

Heading West to Stitches West

I'm heading out to Santa Clara for the Stitches West conference.. i doubt I'll win the sock pro's contest but even an honarable mention would be great! I don't know if i mentioned it but I finally got published in a magazine.. Knit N Style Feb 2009 I've got it up in my ravelry site.. but i'll try and post it here.. i'm going to try and reach out to yarn manufacturer's to try and add to my design network.. i love SWTC but now that I'm going to move out to Atlanta I need to spread it out there.. fingers crossed i do well. some time in mid to late March I expect to be out there so i'll also be able to go to the Atlanta Stitches South, which sould be a great time for all! have a great weekend and i'll try to get back online to let you all k now how it went! karola

taxes almost done, contest entered, brain still not working

Well I've just got to get the tax id number from the temp agency that doesn't give me work, ugh. the off it goes via efile.. love that plan.. money sooner than later! :-) Sent in my awesome soxs and pattern to the Hot Sox Contest sponsored by Knitters Mag and various sox yarn companies! fingers crossed on that one... hope to have another version of the sweater.. yes i finally did it.. got published I made an awesome Coat Sweater for SWTC in Saphira - she's in the February '09 issue of Knit N Style number 12... hopefully I'll get a copy of the photo up on my ravelry site soon.. I'm so proud of that.. maybe I'll even get a few other socks ready for Stitches West so i can touch base with the manufacturing companies or maybe even the magazine and get them out there too.. it has only taken me 50 years.. ha ha.. well at least I'm feeling better.. it was a very difficult Xmas and new years.. but for the moment i know that Kori is safe with her aunt and uncle and I'll be out there with her very soon.. k
still knitting in queen creek at my friend Lisa's and oh my gosh she's gotten a pot bellied pig.. ugh.. not my kinda animals.. along with the 3 cats, dog - 1/2 wolf 1/2 collie, and oh yes 2 horses ... I think I'm being pushed out.. ha ha
